Leadercon was an offshoot of a trip taken each year in April through Christian Brothers University involving alumni, faculty and administration folks. When the people running that trip decided in 1999 to make Ireland the golfing destination for 2000 a couple of guys ran into objections from their wives. Leadercon was born. The trip was set up for August 2000 so that Accounting folks could go. The trip began as a CBC reunion weekend; however, it quickly expanded to cover the Holy Rosary community as well. Over the years sixty-one different people have gone on the trip with an average group size of twenty-two for each one. This year marks the Twentieth Anniversary of our little Leadership Conference. Who knew it would last this long?
